Tim Flaherty named Financial Leader 2023 by Rochester Business Journal
Rochester, N.Y., (May 3, 2023) — Rochester Business Journal and the Rochester Chapter of Financial Executives International have selected Tim Flaherty as a Financial Leader 2023 honoree.
Financial Leaders recognizes financial professionals who have made outstanding contributions to their organizations and to the Greater Rochester community during the past year. Nominees were judged based on their professional accomplishment within their category and on their civic commitment to the Rochester community by their contribution to the economic growth and stability of the region.
Tim was selected in the Independent CPA category. Tim leads Flaherty Salmin’s robust affordable housing/community development practice. He started his own affordable housing-focused accounting practice in 1990, which evolved to become Flaherty Salmin CPAs. His very satisfied client base in upstate New York led to referrals throughout the Northeast.
A graduate of St. Bonaventure University, Tim is an avid community supporter. He is a board member, treasurer, and the finance committee chair of Action for a Better Community (a community action agency in Rochester), is a board member and Treasurer of Sojourner House and is an executive board member and Treasurer of the New York State Association for Affordable Housing (NYSAFAH).
The honorees will be celebrated at a luncheon on June 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center, 123 East Main Street in Rochester. Follow @RBJdaily, and use the event hashtag #RBJevents.
Honorees will be profiled in a special magazine that will be inserted into the June 23 issue of the Rochester Business Journal and will be available online at RBJ.net.
