Tim Flaherty, Treasurer of the New York State Association for Affordable Housing (NYSAFAH),  joined more than 80 of his fellow members to meet with New York State Legislators on Wednesday, February 11th 2026. The participants traveled from every corner of the state, from Buffalo to Long Island, demonstrating the full strength and geographic reach of New York’s affordable housing community.  Throughout the day, the members strongly advocated for NYSAFAH’s agenda — including the creation of an Affordable Housing Relief Fund, SEQRA and insurance reforms, and other critical measures needed to keep projects moving and communities housed.
